Additional Services
Massage therapy has been proven to be a necessity for ALL horses, regardless of discipline, athletic ability, and age.
You can find an in depth explanation of massage and a complete list of benefits here.
Depending on your horse and desired goal, there are different types of services I offer.
Below are the description, prices, and approximate duration for each service.
-
Since I am based in Iola, WI, my barn call fee is $0.50 / mile if you are further than 30 miles away from 54945.
-
I do a multiple (4+) horse discount where I will waive the barn call fee if applicable or discount each massage by $5-$10 depending on the situation.
-
In addition to my hands, I have an EQUISTIX® tool from Equus Athletics that I use as well as another hand held massager.
-
Horses are best worked on in the environment they're most comfortable with, such as their stall, paddock, or barn aisle.
-
Also, it is recommended to not work or ride your horse for 24-48 hours after the session due to the muscles recovering and readjusting.

Grooming
$10 (10 minutes)
We've all been there; if you're running late or just don't feel like brushing out your horse, I can groom your horse for a small charge prior to the massage.

Warm-Up/Cool-Down
$10 (10 minutes)
Showing is stressful and sometimes, chaotic. I get it. So, to take some of the pressure off, I can help with correctly warming up and/or cooling down of your horse, by lunging, hand-walking, and stretching.
